The great people of Oneonta like to hang out close by, and after a long day outdoors Red Carpet Inn & Suites Cooperstown is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. Chase Creek flows through this neighborhood; Moss Pond is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Cooperstown Beaver Valley Campground is a nice location to camp nearby. The annual rainfall here at Moss Pond is about average; of all the months in a       year June is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Moss Pond you can make out Cornish Hill, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Kortright Creek. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Moss Pond. Best Western Inn & Suites At The Commons is a tremendous place to get some rest. Center Brook/Middle Brook is a wonderful whitewater spot in the neighborhood                  of Moss Pond; Hartwick Highlands Campground is a good local campground. Through the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Moss Pond. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
