If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Moss Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. The snow is great at Whiteface Mountain, and Ausable River - West Branch is a great whitewater spot nearby. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Moss Pond has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj; since you're here you can take a hike along the Shorey Short Cut. At Moss Pond all through

| | the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Moss Pond. All year is a delightful time in the Adirondack Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Moss Pond. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on John's Brook; you
can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Van Hoevenberg Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability keen on lakes, Lake of the Clouds Tear is one of those close by, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount
Pisgah is relatively near. On a splendid day at Moss Pond you can take a hike along the Hopkins Trail; dry warm beds await you at Adirondack Loj. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Allen Brook, and if you need a location
to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a good choice. The amount of precipitation that falls at Moss Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month is February.
