If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Moss Pond. Why not camp at Whispering Pines Campground if you're here at Moss Pond; you can run the rapids of John's Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Hopkins Trail, and there's whitewater on Ausable River - West Branch for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Lake Placid, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Shorey Short Cut. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Pisgah, and a quick trip to Allen Brook is without doubt a great idea. Be careful coming to Moss Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. Moss Pond; Van Hoevenberg Trail is a delightful local trail, and there are other places here than Moss Pond, for example Calamity Pond. From a rain point of view Moss Pond is a reasonably typical spot; most of the rain falls through
August, and the driest month is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you need a place
to stay Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a brilliant choice, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a perfect vista of Allen Mountain from Moss Pond. At Moss Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows
sink down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Moss Pond all through the winter typically plunge into the 0's.
