Morgan Lake is a lake worth visiting. The friendly folks of Kingston like to hang out close by, and if you've had enough of Morgan Lake, Inwood Lake is nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Morgan Lake a wet spot; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.

Wappinger Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Morgan Lake, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn Poughkeepsie is a magnificent choice. There is a brilliant hiking trail next to Morgan Lake called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rondout Creek.

At Morgan Lake during the summer months highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures
at Morgan Lake drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Morgan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Interlake Farm Campground is a pleasant spot for that; Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel is a pleasant spot to get some rest.
