Moose Pond is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Little McKenzie Mountain is striking and can be seen from Moose Pond. Lakes? Sure, McKenzie Pond is around here. Summertime highs at Moose Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Moose Pond. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains.

| | The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Mount Pisgah, and Adirondak Loj is a fine campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Moose Pond a wet spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. time. Going for a hike on the Schwartz Trail is always a perfect adventure, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Ausable River - West Branch. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Head up to Whiteface
Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and if you need a place to stay Swiss Acres Inn is a fine choice. If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy Moose Pond. Ausable River - West Branch has a delightful whitewater paddling spot
close by; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain Lake Inn. Near Moose Pond you hit upon the McKenzie Pond Trail which is a great hiking trail; the good folks of Malone like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful.
Go for a hike on the Indian Pass Trail; not far from Moose Pond you'll find Grass Pond which is a pretty lake. It's a brilliant idea to visit Cold Brook, it's in the vicinity of Moose Pond; Pioneer Village is a nice local campground.
