Moose Pond really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you at Swiss Acres Inn, and do visit Grass Pond, it's a pretty lake. And if that's not enough there's a load more amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Ausable River - West Branch; let's not forget       Cold Brook which is a stream that you may encounter while here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Moose Pond, you could also check out wonderful McKenzie Pond, and camping is available at Adirondak Loj. The slopes of Whiteface Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Indian Pass Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in close proximity to Moose Pond has to                  offer. Have a fine hiking adventure along the McKenzie Pond Trail, and the top of Little McKenzie Mountain is easily made out from Moose Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Moose Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Moose Pond tend to be in the 0's. Here at Moose Pond there are plenty of people from Malone; you can run the rapids of Ausable River - West Branch. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Camping at Pioneer Village is always a good experience; while you're here you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
