     Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the neighborhood of Moose Pond. For the duration of the warm months at Moose Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Moose Pond. Go for a hike on the Indian Pass Trail, and Moose Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Pioneer Village is a perfect  
   place to camp nearby.
So many enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains, just remarkable. While you're here at Moose Pond you can play some golf at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club, and the snow is wonderful at Mount Pisgah. Drift down the rapids of Ausable River - West Branch in a kayak, and the summit of Three Peaks can be seen from Moose Pond. There's magnificent hiking along the Van Hoevenberg Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything

Moose Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains. It's always glorious to explore Wanika Falls; if you come at the right time of year, Cold River offers some brilliant whitewater. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. A pleasant close by hotel is Swiss Acres Inn, and don't leave Moose Pond without first going for a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail.
A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Moose Pond; during August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Mountain Lake Inn is a splendid choice, and not far from Moose Pond you'll stumble on Black Pond which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Moose Pond, for example Wallface Ponds, and a day on the slopes of Whiteface Mountain is just what you need.

With the greatest vertical drop in the east at 3,166 feet, very few resorts do this better than Whiteface. With long runs over three separate, yet connected areas, you'll spend maximum time on the snow and minimum time on the lifts.
