Feinberg Park is a splendid campground here; dry warm beds await you at Northern Adirondack Comfort. There's whitewater on Great Chazy River for all you adrenaline kick people; if you need a spot to stay Chateaugay Hotel is a wonderful choice. Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are really abundant here at Moon Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater       of Saranac River, and lots of people from Plattsburgh come here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Moon Pond a wet place; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. Camping at Moon Pond is wonderful fun, Blue Haven Camp Ground is a wonderful local campground, and great hiking is available along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail. All through the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Moon                  Pond. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
