    A visit to Moody Pond is always a good idea. Moody Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Take a hike on the Indian Pass Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Donaldson George A and Sons is a brilliant place to camp. The high level of rainfall makes Moody Pond a pretty wet location; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Have
 
   a nice hiking adventure along the Schwartz Trail, and there's whitewater on Ausable River - West Branch for all you adrenaline people. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Pisgah is in the neighborhood of Moody Pond, and Moody Pond is not the only place nearby, Lake Flower is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Lake Colby if you're here at Moody  
               Pond; it's close by, and the vista of striking Baker Mountain is wonderful.
Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Moody Pond, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Moody Pond are in the 0's. After a long day outdoors Best Western Mountain Lake Inn is a glorious site to spend a night or two; why not stop by Moody Bay also since you're here. Dry warm beds await you at THE HOTEL SARANAC, and a quick spree to McKenzie Brook is unquestionably a brilliant idea.
Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Moody Pond. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Cold River, and Moody Pond is right by the McKenzie Pond Trail. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. If you're visiting Moody Pond from Malone, you won't be the only one; Whiteface Mountain is a great local ski area.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Pioneer Village if you're here at Moody Pond, and golf can be played at Saranac Lake Golf Club.
