Summertime highs at Monsey Lake generally tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Monsey Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hilton Woodcliff Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the       Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. This is a delightful vicinity for folks who like lakes. Island Lake is a lake close at hand. There's so much to do here at Monsey Lake that you need to camp here for a while, National Camp Assn is a splendid site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Sterling Forest and strap some skis to your feet, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Connoley                  Lake is just a very short distance away. Monsey Lake is a place with many visitors from New York-Newark-Edison. Glide down the rapids of Ramapo River in a kayak, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Sherwood Path. Monsey Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground; after a long day outdoors Courtyard Montvale is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Apple Ridge Country Club; why not take a little visit to Pine Brook if you're here. If you come at the right time of year, Popolopen Creek offers some fine whitewater, and the Conklins Crossing is a good hiking trail close by.
