Many people like to go to Monsey Lake. Sterling Forest is a very popular ski area close at hand, and camping at Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is always a perfect experience. After a long day outdoors Courtyard Montvale is a fine site to spend a night or two, and you'll meet a lot of folks from New York-Newark-Edison here. A perfect site to camp here at Monsey Lake is Camp wabenaki, and there's whitewater on Popolopen Creek for all you thrill seekers.

Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Hilton Woodcliff Lake is a splendid choice; the Sherwood Path offers hiking at its best. Monsey Lake usually gets a great deal of rainfall;
the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month.
Through the summertime months at Monsey Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. All through the dark
hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Monsey Lake descend into the 10's.
