Really great skiing awaits you at Hidden Valley, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Sandburg Creek. Monhagen Lake generally gets a good deal of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. After a long day outdoors Middletown - Days Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and you can run the rapids of Neversink River. Skiing       at Mt. Peter is one of those things you just have to do, and the vista of Sayers Hill is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site to camp here at Monhagen Lake is Rainbow Valley Campground, and hiking along the Peenpack Trail is good fun. Summertime highs at Monhagen Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and all through the dark                  hours in the winter at Monhagen Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Monhagen Lake. Monhagen Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Korn's Shawangunk is a great local campground, and do take a hike on the Comfort Trail. If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Hotel is a pleasant choice, and Orange County Golf Club is a wonderful golf course close by.   Middletown - Days Inn, Middletown 4 miles away The Days Inn - Middleton is near major Highways including I-84, I-87, and Route 17W.
