After a long day outdoors The Lodge at Woodloch is a pleasant location to spend a night or two; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Big Bear since you're here. Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a nice site to get some rest; Upper Delaware Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Mitchell Pond called the Schiff Trail, and Lander's River       Trips is a nice local campground. Mitchell Pond gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. At Mitchell Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mitchell                  Pond descend into the 10's. Get soaked paddling on Callicoon Creek - East Branch, and you can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Tanglwood. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the vicinity of Mitchell Pond. Going for a hike on the Steam Mill Trail is always a delightful adventure, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like French Woods Golf & Country Club.
