Many people like to go to Mitchell Pond. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to Mitchell Pond has to offer. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Ski Big Bear, and Barnhardt Pond is a great lake nearby. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Tanglwood; nearby you come across the Steam Mill Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. The Schiff Trail is a great hiking trail close to Mitchell Pond; there are other

| | places here than Mitchell Pond, for example Lake Huntington. The high level of rainfall makes Mitchell Pond a reasonably wet place; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Delaware River, and going for a hike on the Crawford Trail is always a delightful adventure. is a pleasant site for that, and dry warm beds await you at The Lodge at Woodloch. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at French Woods Golf & Country Club, and if you come at the right time of year, Callicoon
Creek - East Branch offers some nice whitewater. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mitchell Pond; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with
temperatures at Mitchell Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Upper Delaware Campgrounds is a nice spot to do that, and Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a wonderful location to get some rest.
