You could also have a look at Tillson Lake while you're here at Lake Minnewaska; it's nearby, and Lazy River Campground is a good campground nearby. Playing golf is lots of fun at Stone Dock Golf Course, and Rochester Creek has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lake Minnewaska. Once the sun is down it dips       down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Minnewaska. Going for a hike along the Comfort Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. During your trip to Lake Minnewaska you'll meet some people from Kingston for sure, and if you came for an overnight stay Rondout Valley Camping Resort is a brilliant site to camp. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always                  go whitewater paddling on Peters Kill River, and the panorama of Millbrook Mountain is stunning. A great deal of rain falls at Lake Minnewaska; most of the rain falls during May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is perfect here at Lake Minnewaska, you can go for a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail; if you need a place to stay Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort is a wonderful choice.
