Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Do stop by Tillson Lake near Lake Minnewaska, it's a beautiful lake, and going for a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lazy River Campground, and golf can be played at Stone Dock Golf Course. A splendid nearby hotel is Mohonk Mountain       House; get covered with water paddling on Peters Kill River. While you're here at Lake Minnewaska, you could also stop at lovely Heddens Lake, and folks from Kingston love to come here. At Lake Minnewaska you can distinguish Millbrook Mountain, and a great spot to camp here at Lake Minnewaska is Rondout Valley Camping Resort. If the weather is magnificent here at Lake Minnewaska, you can go for a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. Gertrudes Nose is an interesting                  spot to visit while at Lake Minnewaska, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rochester Creek. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Lake Minnewaska get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Minnewaska. A lot of rainfall falls at Lake Minnewaska; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
