If you are in Ulster county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Minnewaska. On a lovely day you obtain a view of Millbrook Mountain from Lake Minnewaska, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Hunter Mountain if you're here. | | need a site to stay Mohonk Mountain House is a great choice, and golf can be played at Stone Dock Golf Course. Soar down the rapids of Rochester Creek in a kayak, and why not camp at Rondout Valley Camping Resort while you're here at Lake Minnewaska. This lake is so wonderful. on Peters Kill River is so much fun, and don't leave Lake Minnewaska without first going for a hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Minnewaska a reasonably wet site; through May this area
sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. After a long day outdoors Lexington at Hudson Valley Resort is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Comfort Trail is always a nice adventure.
Throughout the days of summer here at Lake Minnewaska, high temperatures generally get into the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Minnewaska temperatures plunge to the 0's.
