    Mink Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This spot rules, just look at all the amusing things to do next to Mink Lake. Mink Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kayuta Lake Campground is a great local campground; going for a hike along the Stone Dam Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Camping at Trail's End Campground is always a glorious experience, and if you need a site to stay Best  
   Western Sunset Inn is a good choice. High temperatures at Mink Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mink Lake are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. A fine spot for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Mink Lake is Black River; since you're here, you could have a look at Otter Brook. Mink Lake is a beautiful
 
               lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Black River is a perfect whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Mink Lake; since you're here you can take a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail.
Mink Lake is a relatively wet place generally with a great deal of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not enough there's lots more amusing things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Everybody nearby loves skiing at McCauley Mountain, and while you're here, you could also stop by picturesque Reeds Pond. The slopes of Woods Valley are so inviting nobody can resist, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail.
