Bakwin Pond is a lake nearby, and splendid hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling close to Miller Pond is Moodna Creek; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Vernay Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Camp Echo Lake is a good spot to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Edith       Macy Conference Center. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area in close proximity to Miller Pond has to offer. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a great choice, and if you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Trump National Golf Club. Miller Pond typically gets a lot of rain; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
