    Go to Mill Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mill Pond without first going for a hike along the Williams Trail, and float down the rapids of Poesten Kill River in a kayak. Sedgwick Inn is a brilliant spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Mill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Broken Wheel Campground is a great location for that.
All through the summertime months,
 
   highs commonly are in the 80's at Mill Pond. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's while Mill Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. Mill Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; during May this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Going for a hike on the Southeast Hollow Trail is always a great adventure; there's no such  
               thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Jiminy Peak.
This is a wonderful neighborhood for people who like lakes. Cranberry Pond is a lake in the vicinity, and Willard Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. Go for a hike on the Taconic Crest Trail, and get wet paddling on Hoosic River. Mill Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. If you need a place to stay Bennington Battlefield Motel is a good choice, and Mill Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds is a fine local campground.
