An afternoon playing golf at Nassau Country Club Executive is always a diversion, and do schedule some time to stop at Brickyard Point if you have a chance. Lakes are such calm spots, why not pop by Spring Lake near Mill Pond; East Norwich Inn is a great spot to get some rest. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn By Marriott Syosset/Long Island is a perfect location to spend a night       or two; on a great day you can have a look at Shu Swamp, a swamp next to Mill Pond. Much precipitation falls at Mill Pond; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Time spent at Ferry Beach right next door to Mill Pond is always magnificent, and needless to say Beaver Brook flows through this area. Drift down the rapids of Norwalk River in a kayak, and a charming lake like                  Upper Francis Pond is a great location to explore. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to bump into some fine folks from Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk here. There's so much to do here at Mill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Pontiac is a nice site for that. Spend the day on the beach at Beekman Beach if you're here at Mill Pond, and Mill Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, MATSS Kids Gym is a good local campground. The warmest time of the year at Mill Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's.
