Military Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is in close proximity to Military Pond, and you can run the rapids of Black River. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. From Military Pond you obtain       a perfect view of Green Mountain, and if you've had enough of Military Pond, Fern Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. The Schwartz Trail is a glorious hiking trail close to Military Pond, and Military Pond is a spot with many visitors from Plattsburgh. Econo Lodge Plattsburgh is a tremendous spot to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Military Pond has to offer, you can camp at Macomb Park. There's so much to do here                  at Military Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Macomb Reservation is a great site for that, needless to say you could also have a look at Slush Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. So much amusing stuff to do at Military Pond, so little time. If you need a place to stay Microtel Inn and Suites Plattsburgh is a pleasant choice; Little Black Brook is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Military Pond, you can go for a hike along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail. For the period of the summertime months at Military Pond highs are commonly in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Military Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
