So many entertaining things to do here at Mikes Pond, too great to be true. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at McCauley Mountain, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Stone Dam Trail. Best Western Sunset Inn is a wonderful location to get some rest, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Salmon Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       A beautiful lake like Panther Pond in the vicinity of Mikes Pond is a good spot to go to, and unsurprisingly Fourth Creek flows through this region. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Mikes Pond; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beaver River, and you can stay the night at Singing waters                  Campground. The top of Mount Tom is easily observed from Mikes Pond, and Moose River Camp Grounds is a magnificent campground here. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Mikes Pond get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
