    Middle Lake is a lake worth visiting. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Middle Lake highs are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's; overnight lows during the winter for Middle Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, East Stony Creek offers some glorious whitewater; if you came for an overnight stay Rainbows  
   End is a great spot to camp. All year is a glorious time in the Adirondack Mountains if you love the outdoors. The view of Freds Mountain from Middle Lake is beautiful; you'll perhaps meet some people from Gloversville here.
Middle Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. If you need a site to stay Johnstown/Gloversville Super 8 Motel is a delightful choice, and hiking is
 
               a popular thing to do around Middle Lake; Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail is a delightful local trail. Swamps are interesting places and Murphy Vly in the vicinity of Middle Lake is no exception, and glorious hiking is available along the Oregon Trail.
This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny. That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Middle Lake has it all. Ranch Side Park is a great local campground, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Doig Creek.
