If you are in Hamilton county it's always a good idea to stop by Middle Lake. Freds Mountain is a peak you can spot from Middle Lake, and camping at Ranch Side Park is always a wonderful experience. You're sure to come across some fine people from Gloversville here, and you're perhaps into lakes, Murphy Lake is one of those close by. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Take a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail,

Mountains, just mind-blowing. Swamps are interesting spots and Murphy Vly next to Middle Lake is no exception, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend East Stony Creek. High temperatures
at Middle Lake all through the warm months are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through
the wintertime temperatures at Middle Lake plunge into the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Middle Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Oregon Trail, and Middle Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Rainbows End is a great local campground.
