Try Holly Stream, and Croton Falls Reservoir is a delightful lake close by. SpringHill Suites Danbury is a nice site to get some rest, and from Middle Branch Reservoir you get a good panorama of Mount Pisgah. You'll meet a lot of people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown       here; Middle Branch Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Thunder Ridge, and if you came to camp Camp Kiwi is a fine spot to do that. At Middle Branch Reservoir all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's,                  and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Middle Branch Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Near Middle Branch Reservoir you locate the Appalachian National Scenic Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and golf can be played at Centennial Golf Club of New York. Middle Branch Reservoir gets much water; during May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
