Mead Pond is a good location of normal rain; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. German Hollow is a pleasant spot to spend some time at, and paddling on Bowman Creek is so much fun. At Mead Pond during the warm months highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs       are in the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Mead Pond. If you came to camp Bowman Lake State Park is a splendid place to do that; as expected Cold Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting. Mead Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Hunt's Pond is a delightful local campground, and Norwich Super 8 Motel is a magnificent site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Canasawacta Country Club is a perfect golf course nearby;                  a splendid close by hotel is Howard Johnson Hotel.
