Clear Pond is nearby, and if you're here you can take a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail. Mountains rules! If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Malone is a good choice, and Meacham Lake Outlet is a good whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Lake Margaret is one
of those nearby, and let's not forget Osgood River which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. Meacham Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month
of the year is January. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. At Meacham Lake you always meet someone from Malone, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River.
