McRorie Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Don't forget to take a magnificent little spree to Big Brook, and there's whitewater on Raquette River for all you adrenaline people. So much amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. A charming lake like Mud Pond right next door to McRorie Lake is a splendid place to pop by; McRorie Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Whispering woods is a delightful local campground.

| | You can run the rapids of Round Lake Outlet right next door to McRorie Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around McRorie Lake; Sucker Brook Trail is a tremendous local trail. McRorie Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is February. Summertime at McRorie Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. the wintertime are normally in the 20's; overnight lows at McRorie Lake during the wintertime commonly descend into the 0's. This location, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. A splendid location to
camp here at McRorie Lake is Long Lake Camp; glorious hiking is available along the Northville Lake Placid Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Do take a look at Upper Moose Pond in the vicinity
of McRorie Lake, it's a pretty lake, and if the weather is gorgeous, you get a wonderful panorama of Grampus Lake Mountain from McRorie Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Woodlake Inn, and there are swamps here too, Big Marsh is close by.

Northville Lake Placid Trail
 | Not sure where Plumley's Point is but I hiked the Northville Lake Placid trail about 4 or 5 miles north from Long Lake village and it was fairly well maintained (just a little overgrowth). At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over. You must make a detour to the left and bushwack to some rocks to cross (hiked June 09)...8/14/09 I'm wondering if anyone knows the trail conditions for the Northville Lake Palcid trail from Long Lake village to near Plumley's Point-... |
