This lake is so wonderful. Compaanen Kill is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at. From McLachlan Pond you obtain a splendid panorama of Patton Hill, and if you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn Amsterdam is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. McLachlan Pond is a nice location to visit for more than       one day, Frosty Acres Campgrounds is a nice location to camp nearby, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Harrower Pond. The high level of rain makes McLachlan Pond a relatively wet site; during June this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the summer, highs generally are in the 80's at McLachlan Pond. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The                  cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at McLachlan Pond plunge into the 0's. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at McLachlan Pond. Near McLachlan Pond you discover Cranes Hollow which is a great spot to check out, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Fox Creek. At McLachlan Pond you always meet someone from Gloversville, and a delightful nearby hotel is Super 8 Amsterdam.
