Cazenovia Creek - West Branch is a fine whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Matts Pond. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Matts Pond has it all. If you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course is Ironwood Golf Course, and you can hit the slopes at Kissing Bridge in the neighborhood. Matts Pond is a good spot of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain,       and the driest month is February. During the months of summer at Matts Pond temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Matts Pond dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. If you came for an overnight stay Six Flags Darien Lake is a great place to camp, and a quick journey to Red Brook is certainly a splendid                  idea. This lake is so wonderful. Bonny Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and why not camp at Darien Lakes State Park if you're here at Matts Pond. After a long day outdoors Roycroft Inn is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and do have a look at Akron Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake.
