You are near Middletown Point if you're here at Mastens Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Vernooy Falls Trail. The Lodge at Rock Hill is a wonderful place to get some rest; there are other locations here than Mastens Lake, for example Bowers Pond. Camping       at Catskill Mountain Ranch and Camping Club is always a pleasant experience, and wonderful skiing awaits you at Holiday Mountain. The warmest time of the year at Mastens Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mastens Lake are in the 10's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area                  close to Mastens Lake has to offer. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Lochmor Golf Course, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Neversink River. This lake is so wonderful. The Peenpack Trail offers hiking at its best, and Mastens Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hilltop Farm Campsites is a tremendous local campground. The high level of rainfall makes Mastens Lake a pretty wet place; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
