If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Mason Lake. Mason Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Mason Lake ordinarily gets a large amount of precipitation; during August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Mason Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Mason Lake tend to be in the 0's. Have a great hiking adventure | |

along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and why not a little side tour to Callahan Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Northville Lake Placid Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this
vicinity; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Sacandaga River - Middle Branch. If you came to camp Long Lake Camp is a pleasant spot to do that, and you'll hit upon a gorgeous lake called Lewey Lake. And if that's not
sufficient there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There's so much to do here at Mason Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hoss's Country Campground is a tremendous location for that, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not explore Panther Pond.

At one point the trail runs into a bog/pond and the wooden planks are flooded over.
