This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail is always a great adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Nanuet. Go for a hike on the Woodtown Trail, and you can stay the night at Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course right next door to Martins Lake is Manhattan Woods Golf Club; Martins Lake is not the only place       close by, Reed Pond is a close by lake. Throughout the summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Martins Lake, and the night is a tad colder of course, typically in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Martins Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 10's. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do in close proximity to Martins Lake. Some of the water close by flows, like Nauraushaun Brook,                  and needless to say, all our national parks are brilliant spots to stop at and Gateway National Recreation Area is no exception. The high level of precipitation makes Martins Lake a quite wet spot; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Ramapo River. There's so much to do here at Martins Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trailmark Outdoor Adventures is a brilliant place for that. You could also take a look at Pine Lake while you're here at Martins Lake; it's nearby, and if you need a site to stay Nanuet Days Inn is a good choice.
