Martins Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Visiting Gateway National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Don't leave Martins Lake without first going for a hike along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail, and if you need a place to stay Nanuet Days Inn is a wonderful choice. You'll locate a scenic lake called Reed Pond near Martins Lake, and you can stay the night at Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds.

Popolopen Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot right next door to
Martins Lake; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Nanuet. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Martins Lake; Sherwood Path is a splendid local trail; if you're a golfer then a glorious close by course
is Manhattan Woods Golf Club. There's some flowing water close by, Nauraushaun Brook is a stream you can check out during your stay; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ramapo River.
This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sterling Forest; folks from New York-Newark-Edison love to come here.
