Martin Pond is a nice lake to visit. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Gore Mountain; float down the rapids of Balm of Gilead Brook in a kayak. You definitely ought to like Martin Pond. There are other locations here than Martin Pond, for example Bird Pond, and camping is available at Smoke Rise Campsites. After a long day outdoors Lake George/Warrensburg Super 8 Motel is a great spot to spend a

| | night or two, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Oregon Trail.
Lakes are such calm spots, why not stop at Waldron Pond close to Martin Pond; paddling on Hudson River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Near Martin Pond you discover the Elk Lake Marcy Trail which is a great hiking trail; if you came for an overnight stay Camp Dippikill Office is a brilliant spot to camp. year are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Martin Pond are in the 0's.
This lake
is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Dividing Ridge Trail is always a good adventure; Collins Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Moxham Point
is an interesting site to take a look at while at Martin Pond.
And that's not all the things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Lake George Resort, and Moxham Mountain is a peak you can
catch a sight of from Martin Pond. Martin Pond gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
