The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Martin Pond, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Martin Pond. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend       Schroon River, and the Rock Pond Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Mountain Pines Motel is a fine place to spend a night or two, and lakes are such calm places, why not visit Arnold Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Martin Pond. Blue Ridge Motel is a magnificent place to get some rest; swamps are attention-grabbing                  spots and Ingalls Marsh close to Martin Pond is no exception. A typical amount of rain falls here at Martin Pond; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you come at the right time of year, Putnam Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and why not camp at Medcalf Acres Campsite while you're here at Martin Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Martin Pond, you can go for a hike along the Short Swing Trail. The peak of Bennett Hill can be seen from Martin Pond; obviously Burnt Mill Brook flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Martin Pond is great fun, Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a great local campground, and nearby you locate the Long Swing Trail which is a great hiking trail.
