    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Marling. This lake is so wonderful. A good location for whitewater paddling near Lake Marling is Neversink River; don't leave Lake Marling without first going for a hike along the Lost Cabin Trail. Just can't get enough of Lake Marling. Neversink River is a splendid whitewater spot near Lake Marling, and you can go for a hike on the Peenpack Trail.
For the period of the warm months highs here at Lake Marling
 
   reach the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Marling plunge into the 10's. Lake Marling is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. The slopes of Holiday Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and after a long day  
               outdoors The Lodge at Rock Hill is a nice site to spend a night or two.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Prospect Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Mountain Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Oakland Valley Campgrounds is always a glorious experience, and Best Western Inn At Hunt's Landing is a good spot to get some rest. This is a good vicinity for people who like lakes. Sand Pond is a lake in the vicinity, and Lake Marling is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, American Family Campground is a wonderful local campground.
