That right there is a heap of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ausable River - East Branch, and going for a hike on the Leach Trail is always a nice adventure. Near Marie Louise Pond you stumble on the Stimson Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail; if you need a location to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is       a brilliant choice. Marie Louise Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. Marie Louise Pond is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Paradise Pines Camping Resort is a magnificent location to camp nearby; probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Giant Washbowl is just a very short distance away. All through the long summer days here at Marie Louise Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's while overnight                  lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Marie Louise Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Whiteface Mountain is a good spot to do that, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Chapel Pond is one of those nearby. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Adirondack Mountains. Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a magnificent spot to get some rest; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Weston Trail. Be careful coming to Marie Louise Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Marie Louise Pond has to offer, you can camp at High Peaks Base Camp, and The Branch is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Green Mountain is easily observed from Marie Louise Pond.
