If you come at the right time of year, The Branch offers some good whitewater, and going for a hike along the Weston Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Green Mountain is clearly visible from Marie Louise Pond; a magnificent location to camp here at Marie Louise Pond is High Peaks Base Camp. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Paradise Pines Camping Resort is always a magnificent experience. From a precipitation point of view Marie Louise Pond is a reasonably normal site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
