Sure, Baker Pond is in close proximity to Lake Margaret, and why not camp at Deer River Campsites while you're here at Lake Margaret. A great spot to camp here at Lake Margaret is Camp Cherokee; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Meacham Lake Outlet. This lake is so wonderful.       Titus Mountain has splendid slopes and a friendly staff, and going for a hike on the McKenzie Pond Trail is always a perfect adventure. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. After a long day outdoors THE HOTEL SARANAC is a good place to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. The amount of rainfall that falls at Lake Margaret is close                  to the national average; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Margaret. If the weather is lovely, you get a wonderful panorama of Cherry Hill from Lake Margaret; good skiing awaits you at Mount Pisgah. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Lake Margaret get into the 70's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Margaret plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Woodlake Inn is a great place to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Malone here at Lake Margaret.
