McCauley Mountain is picturesque and can be spotted from Mad Tom Lake, and if you need a site to stay Knights Inn Little Falls is a great choice. And that's not everything you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Why not camp at Adirondack Gateway Campground if you're here at Mad Tom Lake, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Party Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain around here,       and you can run the rapids of West Canada Creek. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mad Tom Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Mad Tom Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the                  0's overnight here at Mad Tom Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Mad Tom Lake is not the only place nearby, Burp Lake is a nearby lake, and the Twin Lakes Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. Mad Tom Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Americas Best Inns-Herkimer is a fine place to get some rest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Mad Tom Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Trails End is a tremendous place to camp, and nearby you discover the California Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near Mad Tom Lake is Black River - South Branch, and a lake close by is Bullhead Pond. So much fun stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just mind-blowing.
