Why not camp at National Camp Assn while you're here at Lake Lucille, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail. Lake Lucille sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Lake Lucille called the Woodtown Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ramapo River. Through the warm months

High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Lake Lucille. outdoors Fairfield Inn Spring Valley Nanuet is a great site to spend a night or two. Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground. Sterling Forest is a nice local ski area, and going for a hike on the Breakneck Ridge
Trail is always a nice adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Popolopen Creek, and the top of Little Tor is easily observed from Lake Lucille. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Garnerville
Reservoir near Lake Lucille, and Candlewood Suites NANUET-ROCKLAND COUNTY is a tremendous place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a picturesque lake called Gurnee Lake near Lake Lucille, and if you're visiting from New York-Newark-Edison, you won't be the only one.
