Park is a nice spot to camp nearby, and Fire Island National Seashore is one of the destinations that are great to visit nearby. For the duration of the days of summer at Lower Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight
lows descend down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows during the winter for Lower Pond tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
