For the period of the summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lower Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's; night lows in the 20's for Lower Pond. Playing golf is lots of fun at Timber Point Golf Course; a day at Overlook Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Heckscher State       Park is a delightful site to do that, and East Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. Lower Pond really is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you at Marriott Islandia Long Island; Lower Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Hither Hills State Park is a pleasant local campground. Connetquot Brook is a brilliant place to check out, and Fire Island National Seashore is a glorious national park. Beaches are                  great; and East Beach in the neighborhood of Lower Pond is no exception, and Econo Lodge Macarthur Airport is a good place to get some rest. Don't forget to go to Timber Point while you're here at Lower Pond.
