The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Upper Pond, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby McCauley Mountain. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Lower Pond. This is a nice area for people who like lakes. Browns Tract Pond       is a lake nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Moose River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Inlet Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time, and Wadsworth Mountain can be spotted from Lower Pond. On a fine day at Lower Pond you can take a hike along the Ash Pond Trail, and there's whitewater on Indian River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This lake is so                  wonderful. A glorious place to camp here at Lower Pond is Tioga Point State Campground, and during your stay here do explore close by Silver Beach. Summertime at Lower Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Lower Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Lower Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Browns Tract Pond State Campground is a great local campground, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail. While you're here at Lower Pond you can take a hike along the Norridge Trail, and a good nearby hotel is Knights Inn Little Falls.
