It's a fine idea to go to Brown Creek, it's near Lotus Lake, and a visit to Fire Island National Seashore is recommended. Lotus Lake gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the rain is November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. La Quinta Inn & Suites Islip/MacArthur Airport is a magnificent site to get some rest, and Blue       Point Beach is a beach close by that you can visit. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Sans Souci Lakes, and a wonderful beach close by is Great South Beach. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lotus Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Heckscher State Park is a brilliant place for that. Lakes are great; Mill Pond is a lake that's near Lotus Lake. All the outdoors exciting stuff                  near Lotus Lake will keep you coming back persistently. Taking a little visit to close by Brown Point is a great idea; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma, Li, Ny. If you came to camp Hither Hills State Park is a glorious spot to do that, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Suffolk County Golf Course. At Lotus Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's.
