This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun things to do here in the Adirondack       Mountains. Lost Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Brook Campsites is a pleasant local campground, and lakes are such serene locations, why not go to Round Pond. Lost Pond typically gets a large amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great world it would be. Otter Lake Outlet is a great spot to go to, and you'll find a beautiful                  lake called Otter Lake. Woods Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff; you can go for a hike on the Stone Dam Trail. During the summer at Lost Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows during the winter for Lost Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Moose River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost Pond; Twin Lakes Trail is a magnificent local trail.
