This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Weston Trail is splendid fun, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Whiteface Mountain is rather near. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Lake Placid, and if you've had enough of Lost Pond, Clements Pond is nearby. The amount of rain that falls at Lost Pond is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the                  driest. All through the summer months at Lost Pond temperatures are commonly in the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lost Pond temperatures sink to the 0's.
