This place, Lost Pond, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Lake Placid; if you need a site to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Leach Trail is always a great adventure, and striking scenery and great skiing is what you get at Whiteface Mountain. Conners Notch is a tremendous place to look at, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along

| | the Weston Trail. Why not explore close by Kiln Brook if you're here at Lost Pond, needless to say you could also have a look at Clements Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Lost Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. | |

In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on The Branch, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Marie Louise Pond is just a very short distance away. Now, you
may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. There is a good hiking trail close to Lost Pond called the Stimson Trail, and you can stay the night at High Peaks Base Camp. Yeah, come
here to Lost Pond for a brilliant time. Ausable River - East Branch has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by, and Big Crow Mountain is gorgeous and can be spotted from here. Lost Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack
Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lost Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lake Placid/Whiteface MT KOA, and Lost Pond lays in the shadow of the Soda Range. At Lost Pond during
the warm months highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lost Pond are in the 0's.

Silver Lake Mountain Trail

Silver lake mountain trail head is found on Silver lake Road, which intersects with NY Route 3 about 23 miles west of Plattsburgh [near Clayburg]. Go south on Silver Lake Road for about 10 miles, find the marked trailhead on the left side of the road. This is a short somewhat steep hike with a beautiful view from the top. Well worth the effort....Silver Lake Mt. is a glorious hike. Its not too difficult for the amateur hikers and has a few trails off to the side that are a bit more difficult and fun for the experienced hikers. Its a great place for a family or business day retreat and provides phenomenal views of the North Countries natural beauty. Enjoy the trail but remember to keep it clean and well maintained.
