OLD Forge Camping Resort is a magnificent campground nearby; whitewater paddling is nice on Oswegatchie River - East Branch. Having a nice time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Lost Island Pond called       the Salmon Lake Trail, and there are other places here than Lost Island Pond, for example Loon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Mud Pond is in the vicinity, and paddling on Oswegatchie River - East Branch is so much fun. Be careful coming to Lost Island Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. Going for a hike on the Norridge Trail is always a good adventure, and you can stay the night at Robinson's Iga. You just can't envision the                  amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. The great people of Ogdensburg-Massena like to hang out close by, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by McCauley Mountain. Lost Island Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Big Deer Pond Trail; you obtain a tremendous vista of Summit Mountain from here. Summer at Lost Island Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.
