    The beauty of Lost Island Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. The amount of rainfall that falls at Lost Island Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest. So much exciting stuff in the Adirondack Mountains, just astonishing. Very pretty scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at McCauley Mountain; Cape Woods Campground is a fine campground here.

   Island Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Oswegatchie River - East Branch, and the top of Summit Mountain is easily spotted from Lost Island Pond. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost Island Pond; Salmon Lake Trail is a fine local trail, and Lost Island Pond is a delightful place to camp, Robinson's Iga is a  
               delightful place.
Lost Island Pond is not the only place nearby, Beaverdam Pond is a nearby lake; during your spree here you'll meet some people from Ogdensburg-Massena for sure. If only every location had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Norridge Trail, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Sunset Inn is a good choice. Throughout the summer highs here at Lost Island Pond reach the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Lost Island Pond overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
Take a hike on the Big Deer Pond Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Oswegatchie River - East Branch.
