This location, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. There's perfect hiking along the Spectacle Pond Trail, and Loon Lake is not the only spot close by, Palmer Pond is a close by lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do right next door to Loon Lake. Kipp Mountain is a peak you can see from Loon Lake; a brilliant nearby hotel is Alp Horn Motel. Loon Lake gets       a typical amount of annual rainfall; all through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Loon Lake; Pharoah Mountain Trail is a fine local trail. For the duration of the days of summer here at Loon Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's with                  winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Loon Lake. Loon Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Smoke Rise Campsites is a wonderful local campground; soar down the rapids of Hudson River in a kayak. Loon Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. A day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need, and a round of golf at nearby Green Mansion Golf Course is a wonderful way to kill some time. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Adirondack Mountains. After a long day outdoors Pine Tree Motel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Long Swing Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
