Throughout the summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Loon Lake, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Loon Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.       But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Ideal Campsites is a perfect local campground, and Kipp Mountain is beautiful and can be seen from here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Head up to Gore Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and Palmer Pond is a splendid lake close by. From a precipitation point of view Loon Lake is a pretty typical place; most of the rain falls all through August while                  February is ordinarily the driest month. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do in the vicinity of Loon Lake. Why not camp at Smoke Rise Campsites since you're here at Loon Lake; a beautiful lake like Mountain Spring Lake is a nice spot to take a look at. Loon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Trout Brook River, and splendid hiking is available along the Long Swing Trail. Go for a hike on the Pharoah Mountain Trail; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Lake George/Warrensburg Area. This lake is so wonderful.
