Throughout the summertime at Long Pond highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Long Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. Long Pond gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is May, and January is when it's the driest. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Thunder       Ridge, and at Long Pond you always meet someone from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown. An exciting thing to stop at in the vicinity of Long Pond is Saddle Pond Dam. Lakes? Sure, Converse Lake is close at hand. Be careful coming to Long Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. After a long day outdoors Wellesley Inn Armonk is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and Norwalk River is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. This lake is                  so wonderful. Ramada Inn is a good location to get some rest, and Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a glorious campground here.
