Long Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; West Mountain is close to Long Pond, and needless to say, this is a nice region for people who like lakes, Island Pond is a lake close by. From a rainfall point of view Long Pond is a pretty typical site; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is January. This lake       is so wonderful. Wolf Pond Brook is a stream that you may bump into while you're here, and if you come at the right time of year, Schroon River offers some perfect whitewater. Having a glorious time in the Adirondack Mountains is painless. Dry warm beds await you at The Sagamore. Lakes are glorious; Round Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Long Pond. Through the months of summer at Long Pond highs are typically in the 70's, and during the night it cools                  down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Long Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. If you're going to Long Pond from Glens Falls, you won't be the only one; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Pharoah Mountain Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Long Pond. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Schroon River, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Spectacle Pond Trail. If you need a location to stay Blue Lagoon on Lake Georg is a brilliant choice. Point O' Pines is a delightful campground nearby; going for a hike on the Treadway Mountain Trail is always a nice adventure. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer.
