Long Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. For the period of the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Long Pond. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Long Pond. Lakes? Sure, Jims Pond is in close proximity, and don't forget to take a great little trip to Long Pond Brook. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive

| | yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mt. Peter since you're here. There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Pond is a perfect place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Central Valley Golf Club, and there's whitewater on Popolopen Creek for all you adrenaline people. Creek, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a great choice. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll fancy Long Pond. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Woodtown
Trail. Long Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. Very wonderful scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Sterling Forest, and Econo Lodge
Highland Falls is a good place to get some rest. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best, and Cat Hollow is another brilliant place to pop by nearby. From Long Pond you get a great sight of Cranberry Mountain,
and Long Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Sebago Cabins Harriman is a pleasant local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Round Pond; hiking is a popular thing to do around Long Pond; Stillwell Lake Trail is a good local trail.
