A nice nearby hotel is Marriott Rochester Airport, and you're probably interested in lakes, Cranberry Pond is one of those nearby. Visit Buttonwood Creek since you're here at Long Pond. High temperatures at Long Pond during the summer months are in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures       at Long Pond drop into the 10's. Lakes are glorious; Buck Pond is a lake that's close to Long Pond, and Beatty Point is not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Rochester North is a good place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Hamlin Beach State Park. Here at Long Pond you'll possibly meet some folks from Rochester, and if you come at                  the right time of year, Erie Canal offers some good whitewater. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Long Pond has it all. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Lake Shore Country Club, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Irondequoit Creek.
