There's whitewater on Raquette River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and the Northville Lake Placid Trail offers hiking at its best. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Cedar River, and Long Pond is right by the Sucker Brook Trail. Long Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with much precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Why not visit nearby Beaver Brook since you're here at Long Pond. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains rules! A tour to Popple Point in the neighborhood of Long Pond is always a fine idea; dry warm beds await you at Woodlake Inn. So much entertaining stuff next to Long Pond, simply impressive. If you came for an overnight stay Long                  Lake Camp is a splendid place to camp, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Grassy Pond. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Why not camp at Hoss's Country Campground since you're here at Long Pond. Lakes are great; Eagle Lake is a lake that's close to Long Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Long Pond; the night is a tad cooler of course, generally in the 50's.
