Long Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Why not camp at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park while you're here at Long Pond, and East Canada Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Crystal Grove Diamond Mine and Campground is a glorious place to camp. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains.

| | If you need a place to stay Vrooman's Hotel is a pleasant choice, and Ayers Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore.
Going for a hike on the California Trail is always a good adventure, and Long Pond is not far at all from Amsterdam. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Having a tremendous time at Long Pond is easy. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sprite Creek, and dry warm beds await | |

Long Pond frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Long Pond is located in the
Adirondack Mountains. All through the warm months highs here at Long Pond reach the 70's, and the night is a little chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Long Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
