This lake is so wonderful. St. Regis River - Middle Branch is a perfect whitewater spot next to Long Pond; you'll stumble on a gorgeous lake called Grass Pond. High temperatures at Long Pond through the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 20's, and       after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Long Pond sink into the 0's. Long Pond gets a common amount of rain; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Titus Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Regis River - East Branch. Why                  not camp at Santa Clara Riverside RV Park and Campground while you're here at Long Pond, and if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Highland Golf Course. This is a popular place for folks from Malone, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Malone is a tremendous choice. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do in close proximity to Long Pond.
