The summit of Rattlesnake Mountain can be made out from Long Pond, and a gorgeous lake like Florence Pond is a delightful location to visit. Long Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is frequently the driest month. For the       period of the summertime at Long Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Long Pond. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. All the outdoors cool things in close proximity to Long Pond will keep you coming back repeatedly. Shanty Brook is a stream that you may come across while here, and soar down the                  rapids of Boquet River - North Branch in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Ausable River Campsite is a glorious spot to camp nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Boquet River. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Highlands Forge Lake is a good lake near Long Pond, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Plattsburgh is a tremendous site to spend a night or two.
